Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Tovo, a Slack app operated by Tovo (“we,” “us”). By installing or using Tovo, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Tovo turns Slack messages into tracked, owner-assigned checklists that live as self-updating messages in your channels, with templates, reminders, relay hand-offs, and an activity log. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Eligibility & accounts
To install Tovo you must have authority to add an app to the relevant Slack workspace. You are responsible for your use of the app and for ensuring your use complies with your organization’s policies and with Slack’s Terms of Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use Tovo.
3. Plans, billing & refunds
- Plans. Tovo offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro and Business), priced per workspace as shown on our pricing section. Free-plan usage is subject to monthly limits.
- Payment. Paid plans are billed through our Merchant-of-Record payment processor, which handles charges, renewals, invoices, and applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Manage your plan from Slack with
/tovo upgrade. - Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. For billing questions, contact support@tovo.run.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Tovo for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties except as part of your own team’s use.
- Circumvent plan limits or usage restrictions.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you create with Tovo (checklists, templates, tasks, and related text). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you. You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights to submit it.
6. Third-party services
Tovo depends on third-party services including Slack and our hosting, database, payment, and AI providers (see our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services through Tovo is also subject to their respective terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
7. Availability & warranty disclaimer
We work to keep Tovo reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tovo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for Tovo in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Tovo harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Tovo at any time by uninstalling it from your Slack workspace. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, the data-handling described in our Privacy Policy applies.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Tovo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Tovo is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
